Ray looked intently from one brother to the other, brows furrowed a little. Finally, he said, with words directed at Gerard, "You never told me about him." He was not accusing, merely curious. Gerard's sibling was all long limbs and serious features, with a face which looked so much like Gerard's and yet very much did not.

"I'm Michael Way. Pleasure," said the taller dryly, extending a hand.

Ray was about to respond, when Gerard interrupted. "Mikey," he corrected. "Call him Mikey." Mikey glared at him, and Ray chuckled.

Gerard just sighed and turned away. "I've been summoned to the palace for my payment."

(Frank's POV)

Frank peered off of the edge of the ship, just barely making out the faded silver letting on the side of the ship- Anastasia. It distantly reminded him of his conversation with Gerard, and he shivered, hands tightening on the rail.

They'd arrived at Stralsund Harbor early that morning, and the hours in between then and now were a blur in Frank's already tired mind. He'd been awake thinking too much last night- he knew Gerard hadn't gotten much sleep either from the noticeable dark circles under his eyes, the color of bruises.

ten years later

(Gerard Way's POV)

St. Petersburg was buzzing with the rumors of a survivor- of the infamous Prince Francisque, the youngest of the Ieros and the one whose body had never been found. All of the Ieros had been slaughtered, and yet- they had some delusional hope that the smallest, the weakest, had escaped.

"He's alive!" whispered the people. They had gotten their revolution, in the end, replacing their czars and empresses with machines and smoke, and now they were tired again, more tired than ever before. News from Paris had come that the Dowager Empress Marie Feodorovna was willing to pay a huge sum to get her grandson back.

Almost as soon as Brendon the bat had come to his disturbing conclusion, something yanked him downwards by the foot, or claw, if you prefer.

His eyes flew wide, only to see the leather cord on the reliquary had, somehow, wrapped itself around his limb and know had some horrible mission to smash him into the ballroom floor.

He cried out as he rocketed downwards, bracing himself for the imminent death. But it never came. No, instead the tile parted, and the earth with it, readying the way of the reliquary and its batty prisoner. I blink three times, gazing at the acoustic guitar. It looks really pretty, dark brown wood, with little skulls engraved into the wood on the frame. It sort of reminds me of all those scary cartoons that made me close my eyes then I would realize it’s not scary at all.

This is a frame from the movie <3 Also known as the best thing ever. I really hope you all enjoy this story.

Also, do you think I should keep Frank's last name as Romanov? I think I will. And the name you all decided on was Francisque, which I approve of xD Very much. It sounds like a name fit for a prince ;D

I would have totally called the story Once Upon A December if not for the fact that there's already a fanfic called that in which Gerard loves the movie Anastasia and Frank walks in on him watching it and sex ensues. It's quite good: [link]

ANYWAY.

Since Dmitri and Anya have an awesome love/hate relationship and you know how much I adore those, that won't change. There will be tons of awesome characters, including Raymond as Vlad xDD Because come on, he is totally Vlad. And Mikey's there too, no worries. And Sophie and Pooka and Rasputin and even Bartok and the Dowager Empress and creepy green spirits and horrible dreams on ships and music boxes and the Tsar (Czar? same difference?) himself.

Ohohoho this is going to be very fun. I can't believe this hasn't been done before! Sheesh. If it has, that fic is hiding very well.
