I could get really fucking pissed off and say that I hate this guy and everyone misusing 'amen' to what he was saying.
But, you know what, no. I'm going to be the better person here. I don't hate people, in fact, what I'm standing up for is love. Love. Not locking people who are just loving eachother in a giant pen with an electrocuted fence for the rest of their lives.
That is so cruel and unjust and, I'm just going to say it, fucking ridiculous, that I can't even wrap my mind around it. You're treating intelligent, loving, wonderful human beings as you would treat cockroaches. Not even that, with cockroaches you'd just step on 'em and that would be the end, but no, instead you want to slowly starve 'lesbians and queers' until they die. Do you even understand how painful a death by starvation is? Not to mention, they would be cut off from everyone else they happen to love.
And what, in the end, will that even solve
He said that they would all die out because, as he says mockingly, they cannot reproduce, but what he doesn't understand is that they don't even need to. Killing all the present gay people isn't going to do anything. Some people are born that way, and that's that. It's not fucking unnatural, it happens, and quite a lot.
Did you know that roughly 20% of Americans are homosexual, and worldwide, The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force estimates three to eight percent in both sexes?
Did you also know that when a survey was taken in America, the average estimate was that 21% of men are gay and 22% of women are lesbians?
Oh, I have another fact for you. Homosexual behaviour has been observed in 1500 animal species.
In the last 10 years, the number of Americans saying they feel homosexuality should be considered an acceptable alternative lifestyle has gone from 38% (June 1992) to 51% (May 2002).
Yeah, that's May 2002.
It's 2012 now, baby. another 10 years later. I wonder what the percentage is now....?
So, you can rant and spout your horrifying craziness as much as you want, sir.
Just know that what is probably about 64% of the general population does not believe what you say. And I'll bet you that that number is growing. The President of the United States is for gay rights. Ellen DeGeneres is gay- yeah, the voice of Dory from Finding Nemo that I'll bet your kids (if anyone was unfortunate enough to have kids with you) watched when they were little.
I'll also bet you that they loved Dory. Who doesn't?
Oh, and I couldn't help but snicker about that last thing he said, something along the lines of 'Can you imagine kissing a man?!'
Oh, trust me, through the voice of a male character in my writing, I've done a whole lot more than imagining kissing
One last comment.
The band who changed me and saved me, which I bet you've never done and could never hope to truly do to anyone, is very much for gay rights, as are a whole lot of other musicians and people in general, especially in my generation, also known as the generation who will be in control when you're dead and rotting.
Good day to you.
(Ah, and I would like to say that I go to church almost every Sunday. I am religious to a certain extent. I am a Christian.
I'm not, however, fucking crazy.)
